This has a two fold advantage: Keeping valuable data out of the thief&#8217;s hands, and also making the phone considerably less useful to a criminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple provides several tips for <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-gb\/HT201472\" target=\"_blank\">what you should do in the event of a theft<\/a>.
